The cost
The cost per person is based on two people sharing a twin or double room. We aim to make the cost of all our Holidays an all inclusive one. So that once you have paid for your Holiday you will only pay for things of a purely personal nature, alcoholic drinks, hotel tips, souvenirs or trips at your own instigation etc. Your Holiday cost includes full board accommodation, which usually include packed lunches, the services of your guides and drivers, minibus or coach transport, boat trips and ferry fares during your Holiday and entrance fees to sites of interest. The cost does not normally include travel to/from your Holiday start point, though we offer advice on this. However, some Holidays such as to Cuba do include flights from the UK. Please check your individual Holiday for details of any differences from these norms. We aim to make sure you are aware of all extra costs, if any, before you make your booking.
The Single room supplement
This is charged for persons requiring single room occupancy. Sometimes there is a range of prices for the supplement. This depends on the type of single room available at the establishment. For example a twin room used for single occupancy can cost more than a dedicated single room. Please ask us what is available for the Holiday you choose.
Single Travellers wishing to share a room
If you are single and wish to share a room on any Holiday, please let us know. We will try to find someone else who wishes to share. In this way you can reduce the cost of your Holiday if a share person is found. If a suitable share person is not found then the single supplement will apply.
The Deposit
This payment is required at the time of booking and seals the contract between yourselves and Orkney Island Holidays. It is non refundable.
